World War I Concert

World War I Concert on November 8, 2014

To supplement the "Exning Enlistment Re-enactment" (http://www.exning.net/eer.html) we are planning a "World War I" evening.

After the 4th "Family Night of Entertainment" last year we had decided that the particular format had run its course and the WWI evening will fit in with other events for the Exning Community that weekend.

The format is still being planned but will probably start with a "Sing a Long" of World War I songs (see below) to reflect the enthusiasm of those volunteering to join the war effort

--- but that will be followed by a change of mood to reflect the conditions and losses experienced.

We hope this will give opportunities for various musical items by MBC groups (e.g. flutes, ensemble, handbells, choir etc) perhaps with various poems and readings.

If you'd be interested in helping to plan the event do let me know
