I’d suggest you tune from right (highest note) to left
There are several options on this tuner:
- It gives either a guitar sound or a tone (I prefer the guitar sound)
- There is a delay which can be varied but hitting the space bar repeats the note.
- The “auto advance” is a useful check of each string once tuning has been completed.
At least you can get experience in deciding whether their strings are higher or lower than the computer.
I would suggest adult supervision to begin with. It’s important you don’t overtighten strings as they will break.
A tip is to deliberately slacken the string a it and then tighten to the correct pitch.
